Since it’s all about moms this weekend- I thought it was a good time to share one of my more recent birthday cards out there- cause this one is... just FOR MOM! I’ve been waiting to send this one to my mom and last week (happy birthday mom!) I was finally able to drop it in the mail to her. Yes, this card is a bit different than my usual - as this time, I didn’t use gouache paints, rather I drew this one using pastel pencils.
Pencil sketches I did before I went to the final art using the pastels ...2A won.
Pastel pencils (YES, pastels come in pencil form not just little chalky sticks!! ) So fun, ever try em? I like how clean these are to handle and since I can sharpen them, I can get super detailed.
The final art (blue pastel paper, YUM!!!) before it went to print as a card and got embellished with delicious glitter and gemstones.
