This week it’s back to school! 

And while that means I get my days back from 8:30 to 3:30 , it also means i loose my evenings again to HW. ...Humph.  Time to refresh my brain on Algebra 1. Oh boy.

Throwing this Thursday back 10 years to when my baby girls were babies and I painted this piece as I was imagining what they would be like in just a few years in preschool.

Mom, You Deserve to Relax

This one’s a shout out to dear ole mom. She just took off back home to NY after taking a big chunk of time to visit me and her grand babes in LA and be the best Mema ever to my girls- watch school theater productions, hang around here for middle school sleepover parties, dress up for the Ren Faire (she and Poppy did dress up along with us!) and more.  Mom- enjoy this upcoming mother’s day on Sunday. Relax. And know that we all love you tons!! My shout out to my mom is a bit early- I was going to wait til Sunday - but I wanted to post this card here incase y’all are looking for a card to gift your mom-

I recently received these 2 fun pix from someone who picked up my Spring Time counted cross stitch kit and got to stitching! Work in progress- and completed.  

I have not had a chance to complete this kit on my own - awesome to see someone else got crafty with it!  Pretty weird seeing my painting translated into cross stitch - the super fun and interesting part of the art licensing biz! Which I love.

I may be posting this from LA, but this here New Yorkers heart belongs to NY no matter where I’m at. Analog vs. Digital

I’m an old school painter. I’ve always painted analog. Paints, brushes, paper. 

Then yesterday a friend inspired me to walk into the Apple store and play on the iPad Pro using the Apple Pencil and Procreate. I left the store with my first lil digital illustration ever. I was feeling quite proud and inspired. 

But of course I got back to the studio and just felt this urge to recreate it... old school... with paint (and pen and pastel)...and brush... on paper. I just couldn’t help myself.

My kids recently asked me “mom, how come you never finish your coffee and you always leave a little left at the bottom?”. 

Hummm... I do that, don’t I?!
