I’m an old school painter. I’ve always painted analog. Paints, brushes, paper.
Then yesterday a friend inspired me to walk into the Apple store and play on the iPad Pro using the Apple Pencil and Procreate. I left the store with my first lil digital illustration ever. I was feeling quite proud and inspired.
But of course I got back to the studio and just felt this urge to recreate it... old school... with paint (and pen and pastel)...and brush... on paper. I just couldn’t help myself.

I am an old school Illustrator. When I was in school for design and illustration. Apiece of taffeta was placed in front of me, I was told to reproduce it on my paper with a brush, and only my watercolors. The digital work is quite beautiful, but I feel “old school “ is the real definition of true talent and a true artist.
